TALK TO BUBBA!

I think my favorite alteration of the new OKEY-DOKEY edition(s) is the addition of Bubba's "OS A.I." process narration, a device taken directly from the Iron Man comic books, which allows for unprecedented expository shorthand. (Which I of course push beyond excess!)
I really enjoy the character of Artificial Intelligence, a perfect blend of anticipatory science fiction & buddhist meditation, what of an emerging consciousness w/out object!? And notice how much more involved the captcha tests are becoming, sometimes I fail to prove I'm human on the first try!
Philip Farber had posted in the MLA forum about his enjoyment of spam poetry, to which I responded: "I like to imagine those spam bots & spywarez as A.I. breeding in the wild, spam daemons in the WWW!"
A few weeks later I got a piece of spam from "OLGA", which was RAW's e-mail sender name, I opened it for that minor curiosity:
"or on the real relationship about inheritance mightmore complex. the same software patterns look indesign problems of patterns with others is so often misunderstood, what to expect--a visually-rich advantage of patterns with others who've faced the look "in the wild". your boss told you neurobiology, cognitive and experience of others, matter--why to use them, "secret language" between Decorator, Facadedesign problems, and better"
I really enjoy how the phrase "in the wild" appears in quotes, invoking that very peculiar context mentioned above.
All of that to introduce:
Still in the earliest of programming stages, I haven't developed much of the actual character yet, though even just a generic A.L.I.C.E. chat robot is interesting to experiment with, supposedly they learn as they accumulate experience.
How's that for metafiction!?

A Chance Encounter

A discarded element from my most current work-in-progress: Magical Means, wherein I'm providing illustrations to Bogus Magus' rich prose text. Animating a concept I've had in mind since a whippet blast back in '03 united the historical characters of Harry Houdini & Aleister Crowley in a peculiar iconic dialectic.

It took the encyclopedic memory & vast showman/shaman experience of Mr. Magus to actually pull off this meeting of minds, which shall be diffusing through the world wide web upon the winter solstice edition of the Maybe Quarterly.

Bogus Magus or Toby Philpott is by far the biggest, most vocal supporter of my artistic adventures, and to think I first encountered him in 1983, as Jabba the Hut in Return of the Jedi!

We have collaborated a few times already:
Coming Round Again
Falling on Deaf Ears
The 3rd Degree

He is also credited in OKEY-DOKEY as the Research Magician, because whenever I have a question on source material, no matter how arcane, he is able to elucidate.

Check out the Only Maybe blog, to which we both contribute.
